dresses, bangs and recipes

The other day my Mom and I were looking at dresses for the girls, and there were sooo many cute styles and patterns. But they really were all about $45.00 each. When you have to double that, it sure adds up quickly. SO my Mom had this great idea to make some for the girls. So we went to Fabland and bought a cute pattern and some sweet gingham fabric for a trial run. They have turned out soooo cute! I'm going to take pictures of them in them before church tomorrow, so I'll be sure to post the finished product.

It was so sweet watching my Mom with the girls. It reminded me of being little and how she used to have so much patience with me, and let me help her with everything, even though I would have been slowing her down. It really helped me realize that I need to slow down during the day and include the girls in more things that I do around the house.

I got some new bangs the other day. I haven't had bangs forever. I was going to go all the way and have blunt bangs all the way across, but I chickened out! I'll do it later in the Spring!

So the recipe for the macaroni and cheese is:

2 C macaroni
2 C milk
2 C grated cheddar cheese (old)
1/2 of a small onion, minced
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
pinch pepper

Cook mac. drain and set aside.

In saucepan: melt butter, and saute onions til cooked (2 mins)

stir in flour and pepper

slowly stir in milk, cook until smooth and hot on medium heat

remove saucepan from heat and add grated cheese, stir til cheese has melted

Place cooked mac. in baking dish, pour cheese sauce on top.

top with extra cheese and bake at 375, for 20 mins.

Enjoy!!

I adore the bangs. I think you should def do the short bangs all the way across. You totally have the face for it. And that apron is too cute. Once I finish my sisters quilt, I want to try making an apron. With ruffles. hehe. Hope you're doing well.
